Does anyone else feel like Trump winning was a grim "stress test" for the country just to show people the reality of his leadership?

Throughout the election, I couldn't shake the fear of what kind of volatile backlash or danger to public safety might happen if the right lost. Part of me almost feels resigned to the outcome because it sometimes feels like the only way people can truly see and grapple with the real-world consequences of these policies is by living through them.

Is anyone else feeling this heavy mix of exhaustion and the grim hope that experiencing the reality of it will finally make people see the stakes clearly? How are you processing this?
