I could ignore all the issues that D.mon has if she kinda felt like the thing she was inspired by.
I could give a run down on why D.mon is kinda bad but there is already 8 or so posts on this. So to get the point, I could ignore all these issues she has if she played like the thing she was inspired by. For those who don't know, D.mon is inspired by armor core. You can see this with her boosters and the sword. However, she doesn't feel like it.
AC's are quite fast and flexible. They have vertical and horizontal mobility. Even those with tank leg frames have that but their vertical mobility is weak. In exchange they can carry big guns and don't have to standstill to shoot them. ACs can switch from melee and range with a flick of a button and their melee weapon has a light and heavy attacks even thought the game is 80% guns. Even the shields feel flexible and fast to use. It is more akin to DM.
D.mon doesn't play like that. Her weak boosters are only horizontal mobility. Her primary weapon being sword is only light attacks, her gun feels weak and pathetic and is on a timer. The only time it feels impactful is when you get the perk but that is bad game design. Her shield is more akin to reinhardts and it feels slow to use. Her ult is def inspired by AC6 because there is heavy attack that is similar to it but that is it.
The only thing i can think of that D.mon feels inspired by from AC is playing one of those joke AC's where they are too heavy to function. So if that is meant to be case then congrats, you have succeeded.
In my opinion, D.mon suffers from the same problems as Ram. Ram is inspired by tempo playstyles but he gets absolute mogged by ball in that regard. In regards to D.mon, Dva plays more akin to AC than she does and that is just sad. I personally think she needs vertically mobility and stronger boosters. At-least that would make her more akin to Dva rather than Reinhardt.
