Migraines that make it so I basically can't function, not sure if cervical related (40M)
I'm sure if I read through the hundreds of posts on here I would find somebody having similar problems as me. I deal with chronic low back pain normally and (in recent years) have dealt with migraines that don't seem to have any explanation. They have no warning signs, but usually manifest first thing in the morning. Almost have some sort of sinus pain/pressure and a crazy amount of pressure that starts in the base of my skull and ends up in one (either) eye. My wife has had to take me to the ER probably 4-5 times in the span of 3 years.
Thankfully saw an NP, got me an Rx for Zofran and Rizatriptan. That combination tends to yield good results. Gets rid of it pretty quick, albeit I'm down the rest of the day because of it. And I avoid a costly visit to the ER.
The last few months have been rough. I've missed some work because of it. Developed a sensitivity to sound I never had before. Most days are ok, but this last week has sucked. My neck is swollen from trying to get some sort of relief from the pressure. Nothing has worked. If my heart rate gets up, my head starts to pound. Helping my wife take care of our 5 month old is taking everything I got right now. I already have back pain that I'm a slave to, I don't need ANOTHER problem that I can barely manage.
