\[This book\](https://eternalisedofficial.com/2021/03/09/book-review-modern-man-in-search-of-a-soul/) by the name of Modern man in search of a soul by C.J. Jung appears in Season 4 Episode 24 in Timelapse 30:27 after the fake murder of Senior Agent Lisbon and Agent Rigsby, the book was weirdly shown and not hidden and it appears like it was meant to be shown, that inspired me to search about it thinking about a hidden message or meaning and read it.

This book overall does explain Jane’s current situation and position in life, the book main’s idea is about how people lose the deep meaning and connection and its suffering which is because rationalism and science have replaced traditional frameworks. (Religion is talked about mostly in this book) and it does appear religion is a point here in this episode as Jane *meets* Lisbon in a church and this book about deep meaning to religion overall does perhaps send a message.

In this book Jung says rationalism and science have replaced traditional religious frameworks and C.G. Jung explains in several chapters how the human should shifts from the first half of life (focused on social adaptation, ego-building, and external achievement) to the second half (focused on inner spiritual growth and meaning)

I find these small things really interesting. Or maybe I’m reading too deep into this but so many coincidences for me lol. Also maybe it’s me but the ring is more focused on in that episode, you see that ring when Jane sleeps with Lorelai and when he talks to Lisbon and when he holds that book, it’s more focused on in that episode.

I love how in S4E24 you see Jane reading this book (spoiler)
