Flame Link vs Destructive Link Luminary

Hello, I made a post about doing a run with my girlfriend where I play support for her + a mercenary with a Luminary.

We are almost at the end of campaign, and throughout the campaign I’ve been mostly winging it, doing flame link shenanigans, using whatever merc I can find (Have a lightning arrow one atm) and it isn’t the fastest or strongest but it’s fun.

Girlfriend went Slayer Cyclone and she definitely carries the damage with my flame link buffing her.

Now as we get closer to mapping I am starting to think about putting together a more structured setup, with proper items both for myself and the merc. Oh and also to get an actually good merc. But I am undecided between the two setups I am seeing being discussed.

What I want to know about them is;

1. Which link skill would be a better support for a cyclone slayer? (following FGKorbyn’s guide for that)

2. Which of the archetypes is better to start with around a mageblood + 100-150d budget, which is what I have right now to spend immediately?

3. Which of the archetypes is better to keep investing throughout the rest of the league?
