Can we still eat Capybara?

This might come off as a troll post, but there technically exists a loophole which would allow Catholics to eat Capybaras (A large semi-aquatic South American rodent) dating back to the Spanish colonization of the Americas, is it still permissible to consume Capybaras on Friday and during Lent?
