Am I wrong for feeling weird after lending a friend money last week
Last week a friend reached out saying they were in a tight spot and asked if I could spot them some cash until payday. I’ve known them for a while and it seemed like a one-time thing, so I said yes and sent it over. They thanked me a lot and promised to pay it back in a couple of days. It’s now been more than a week and I haven’t heard anything, even though I’ve seen them active online. I’m not really worried about the amount itself, but the silence is making me second-guess whether I should have just said no. I keep going back and forth between thinking I’m overreacting and wondering if I set myself up by not setting a clear deadline. Would it be weird to send a gentle reminder, or should I just wait and see what happens? Curious if other people have been in a similar spot and how they handled it.
