should i take a gap year?

I finished Year 11 a few months ago along with my GCSEs, and the next step for me is to start sixth form. My mum suggested that I begin A levels next year instead and take private classes now to prepare. She hired tuition teachers to teach me Year 12 content, but I wouldn’t actually start Year 12 in school until 2027. At first, I was fine with the idea, but I started feeling conflicted when I realized I’d be starting later than my friends and didn’t want to take things too slowly. I went ahead with tuition anyway, but after a few classes, my mum asked what I really wanted and mentioned how expensive the lessons are. Right now, I feel like I want to start sixth form immediately, though I’m still not completely sure. What should I do?
