Profile evaluation for IIM Ahmedabad & FMS Delhi – CAT 2026 | 8/8/8 | OBC-NCL Female | 2 YOE

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to appear for CAT 2026 and would really appreciate a realistic profile evaluation for IIM Ahmedabad and FMS Delhi.

My profile:

Category: OBC-NCL

Gender: Female

10th: 88%

12th: 89%

Graduation: B.E./B.Tech CSE – 82.8%

Academic profile: 8/8/8

Work experience: \~2 years as a Software Engineer at Capgemini by the time I join MBA

Work experience type: IT/software

Target: 2-year MBA/PGP

CAT: Appearing in CAT 2026

Target career: Consulting/strategy, potentially moving into VC/strategy roles later

I have a few questions:

With this profile, what CAT percentile should I realistically target for IIM Ahmedabad and FMS Delhi, both for getting a call and having a decent chance of final conversion? Anyone can suggest realistic marks or percentile I should Target.

I currently have basic CAT preparation but haven't been seriously/dedicatedly preparing yet. With around 3–3.5 months left until CAT 2026, is it realistically possible to reach 98–99+ percentile? If yes, what preparation strategy/resources/mocks would you recommend? Any specific YouTube channels, books, test series or courses that helped you would be really appreciated.

Would especially love to hear from people with similar 8/8/8 + female + OBC-NCL + work-ex profiles who got calls/converts from IIMA or FMS.
