# This community was created with a simple belief:

**We can deeply respect and love the Ramayana while also asking difficult questions, discussing concerns, appreciating great work, and expressing genuine criticism.**

With the upcoming **Namit Malhotra's** ***Ramayana*** generating enormous excitement, there will naturally be many opinions, like about the filmmaking, VFX, casting, music, storytelling, adaptation choices, production, budget, cultural representation, scriptural accuracy and much more.

Some people will love what they see.

Some will have concerns.

Some will change their minds.

And some will simply have questions.

**All of those conversations deserve a place.**

# 🕉️ What this community stands for

Here, **appreciation and criticism can coexist**.

You are welcome to say:

>

And also:

>

You can ask:

>

You can discuss:

>

You can praise the VFX, question the casting, analyze a scene, debate an adaptation choice, discuss mythology, examine filmmaking craft, or simply share your excitement.

**You don't have to agree with everyone here.**

You just have to be willing to discuss ideas rather than attack people.

# 🚫 What we don't want

Free speech does **not** mean a free pass for harassment, personal attacks, hate, fabricated claims, deliberate misinformation or abuse.

Criticize the **film**.

Question the **filmmakers**.

Challenge the **ideas**.

Debate the **interpretation**.

But respect the people participating in the discussion.

# 🌺 What we hope to build

We want r/WorldOfRamayan to become a place where **craft and dharma can rise together**.

A place where filmmakers can be appreciated for what they accomplish.

A place where genuine shortcomings can be discussed honestly.

A place where people who know cinema can teach.

A place where people who know the Ramayana can teach.

And a place where someone who knows very little can simply ask a question without being made to feel unwelcome.

**We are not here to build an echo chamber.**

We are here to build a community.

The Ramayana is far greater than any single film, actor, director, studio, interpretation or fandom.

So let's discuss it with **curiosity, honesty, intelligence, devotion and respect**.

**Appreciate freely.**
**Question fearlessly.**
**Criticize constructively.**
**Debate respectfully.**
**And let us all rise together.**

🙏 **Jai Shri Ram** 🙏

**Welcome to the World of Ramayan.**

Welcome to r/WorldOfRamayan 🙏 A place to celebrate, question, discuss and explore Ramayana, together
