Getting stuck in endless due to no Chitin

So I started playing a few days ago and im at level 10 in the campaign. But I played a few tickets for endless mode and every time the attackers get way to strong before I have enough Chitin to upgrade my defenders. Just Now I was at wave 10 and just collected 3 Chitin. How do you get more?

Thanks!
