Trying to help during a stressful situation showed me how hard fragmented information is to work with.
I helped someone through a stressful situation recently and the hardest part wasn't finding information, it was figuring out what was actually relevant. There was were notes everywhere, old documents mixed with current ones, random account details spread across different places. technically nothing was missing but nobody had the mental bandwidth to sort through it while also handling everything else going on. it made me realize the real problem is usually fragmentation, not access. how do people make information easier to act on during real situations?
