Looking for first-year Electrical Engineering study materials

Hi everyone!

I’ve just been admitted/enrolled for the upcoming semester as a first-year Bachelor’s student in Electrical Engineering at ETH Zurich, and I’d like to get a general idea of what to expect during the first year.

I’m looking for study materials for the first-year courses, especially:

• problem sets / exercise collections
• textbooks or recommended books
• previous exercise sheets or other useful resources
• any other materials you found particularly helpful when preparing for the exams

I’d also really appreciate some insight from students who have already taken these courses: How similar are the problems on the exams to the exercises/problem collections used during the semester? Are the exam problems generally based on the same types of problems, or do they tend to be significantly more difficult/different?

I’m mainly trying to familiarize myself with the material and get a better understanding of the workload and level of difficulty before starting.

If anyone has materials they could share or recommendations on what to use, I’d be very grateful. Thanks!
