Just like that
I really thought there was genuine potential with a guy I met. We had a great mix of banter and deep conversations, and zero awkwardness. He was relocating, and we’d planned to meet up once he settled. However, on moving day, he left without telling me and didn't check in after arriving. After waiting 48 hours, I reached out to ask how it went, only to get a dry, low-effort reply "arrived safely I'm tired." I’m not clingy or needy for constant communication, but basic courtesy matters to me. I decided to end things right then, telling him I need consistency.
My head knows setting that boundary was the right call, but my heart is still disappointed because I genuinely felt a spark that he clearly didn't prioritise.
