I’m starting to realize that the freedom of working from home is what I actually want

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about my life in Dubai.
I’ve been here for years, and honestly, I didn’t even realize how quickly the time passed. Dubai has given me so many opportunities, experiences, and growth, and I’m genuinely grateful for that. I’ve learned a lot, met amazing people, and experienced things I probably wouldn’t have experienced anywhere else.

But at the same time, I’ve been through a lot here, and lately I’ve started feeling like maybe Dubai just isn’t for me anymore.
I work in a real estate company as a Sales Admin. I also tried moving into sales, thinking maybe it would open another door for me. But I eventually realized that sales just isn’t for me. I know how to handle the administrative side, transactions, coordination, clients, documents, and pretty much everything behind the scenes, but I’ve realized that I’m much better suited to that side of the business.

And honestly, I’ve been feeling quite down about it.
Maybe it’s not that I’m not capable. Maybe I’m just trying to fit myself into something that isn’t meant for me.

One thing I’ve recently realized is how much I value freedom and my time. The idea of working from home, having more control over my day, being closer to family, and being judged by the quality of my work rather than simply being physically present in an office sounds incredibly appealing to me.

I want to live my life to its fullest!

So I’m seriously considering relocating back to my home country and looking for a remote opportunity.

I’m posting this here because maybe there are business owners, founders, or companies in this community who offer a genuine work-from-home setup and value results, trust, and people’s time rather than simply requiring employees to show up every day.

I’m not looking for an easy job. I’m looking for the right environment where I can contribute, grow, and actually have a healthy relationship with work and life.

Dubai has given me a lot, and I’ll always be grateful for that. But maybe it’s time for me to experience a different kind of life.
And I would still love to come back to Dubai someday…..not for work, but for a quick vacation. To enjoy the city without the stress of commuting, office politics, deadlines, and pretending everything is fine. 😂

Maybe leaving doesn’t mean I failed.

Maybe I just finally figured out what kind of life I want.
