Anyone else become weirdly protective of their sleep?
Before I worked nights, if somebody knocked on my door or called me in the afternoon, I'd answer without thinking twice. Now if my phone rings while I'm asleep, my first reaction is, "This better be life-changing news."
I never realized how much uninterrupted sleep mattered until I started getting it in the middle of the day. Friends and family eventually learned that noon is basically my version of 2 AM. Did working nights change how protective you are of your sleep?
