Does Obsidian steal your notes and business ideas

I am trying to decide between org-mode and obsidian. I like emacs in thet it's entirely open-source, and extremely extensieve but as someone that just wants to use link graphs and take notes effectively, I wonder how much of the extensibility is overkill.

I asked this question before on an emacs sub and they said Obsidian is closed-source, based on webview, which basically means you don't know who snooping on your filed and if it's acting as a data set for someone's AI. Is it true?

This is the only thing putting me off or I would use it in a heart beat I think.
