Sudden issues with latch

My 3.5 month old has been getting very frustrated during feeding in the last two weeks or so. He's fine in the morning but by the afternoon he keeps getting super frustrated and latching and then unlatching, it's like he's getting a sore mouth. My milk supply is sufficient, wondering if it could be teething affecting it and a sore mouth. Has anyone else come across this and has any tips?
