I [19F] and my bf [19M]. I don't think so our relationship will work or am I just overthinking. We have been together for 5 months.

So basically we met on 1 aug it was girlfriend's day so we thought of going on a date FIRST DATE btw (we are dating for 5 MONTHS it was long distance most of the time)I brought him a bouquet not a big deal coz i genuinely wanted to and alot of gifts (handmade took me 4 days) and he came bare hands....okayyyy I'm not asking for gifts but atleast a handwritten letter or smtg small. Moreover he always walks in front of me never by my side. On our second date we went shopping and he didn't even ask for holding my tote like broo I was holding a tote bag water bottle and umbrella he took the umbrella but I saw him waiting to give it back to me. And I'm super independent i don't like asking for help but I want my partner to do things for me without having to ask. Am i asking for too much???????? I have somewhat realized that he is not my type and I feel like a bad person now.

TDLR I'm veryyy confused right now and i genuinely don't want to hurt him but I'm not happy.
