Dark comic about Christmas elves

Hey guys, I just remembered a specific comic book I read when I was a kid. Must have been around the late 90s, early 2000s. All my research lead to nowhere so far so maybe this is the right place to ask: The book was about some Christmas elves or -gnomes battling against some dark creatures that were attacking their Christmas base (probably at the North Pole). The tone was pretty dark with violent scenes though the look itself was more comicy than realistic. Santa also played a minor role. I didn’t find anything yet, starting to feel that it might have been some dream and that it doesn’t really exist 😅. I found „Klaus“ but that’s not it. Maybe anyone can help me out? Thanks!
