Indian parents retirement savings or not?

Hi, i come from india. I am 26M. I live with my parents. I was working in sales and also was helping my father in his business, which is a very small business but he is earning well in that business. I told my parents i am switching my career into tech and i am very serious about it. i want to focus on this because i always loved tech. My parents said no problem with that. But i asked a very serious question to my mom today about my father's retirement plan. I asked does my father have any money saved for his retirement. She started to cry, started to guild trip me, started to act like a victim. I told her starting in my tech career, it will be very difficult for me to contribute but after i manage to land a better job i will take care of you and father. She started to even cry more. I am the only child in my family. And i don't talk to my father much. What should i do? I am actually worried about my parents and my career.
