Beginner and frustrated

Ive been practicing for the last 5 months my acoustic guitar and but not consistently because its no frustrating each time i try to do it. My fingers are fat and pinky weak too i cant play anything. And dont get me started on switching chords: its takes me forever to figure one progression out and 99 percent of the time the execution is bad (i keep doing it finger y finger). Everything is terrible and i dont see myself getting better any tips or advices or simple songs or courses to watch that might help?
Just this week ive been trying to play freight train by Elizabeth cotten and i struggle with the first chord god .
I genuinely dont understand how people get so good at the instrument they sound amazing and they never mute strings by accident
