AITA for wanting chaos in this LOVE PENTAGON
I used to have a close friend, but we don't talk anymore, and she has a boyfriend now over 2 years. I also had a boyfriend, but we broke up 2 months ago. Previously, I saw my ex-boyfriend's chat history with my friend on his phone. My ex had told my former friend about our private conversations and personal matters within our relationship, almost complaining about me while praising himself to her. Earlier, that same friend had told my ex about an incident from her own relationship, telling him "not to tell anyone else."(She had told me that secret incident that she hadn't told anyone else, btw.) And my ex-boyfriend comforted her more gently than he had ever been with me. Moreover, this wasn't even their first conversation; less than a year into our relationship, the two of them had texted 4 times for various reasons, though it never turned into a romantic relationship. It had made me extremely uncomfortable.
I'm not talking to my friend anymore for other reasons. However, there is a guy—let's call him X—whom my friend had only talked to for 2-3 weeks in the past, but then cheated on and dumped when she met her current boyfriend. X and my ex go to the same school and are in the same year, but they aren't friends. My ex knows who X is, though. To get revenge on both of them, I want to hook up with X. I know it's a very complicated love pentagon, but my heart is deeply broken, and I don't know what to do. One thing is certain: this story is bound to end badly one day. My friend has a boyfriend, but their relationship is terrible. As for my ex, he is a walking lie machine who did nothing except steal my spark. I wonder if the reason X crossed my mind is because we are both victims of different stories? By the way, X and I don't know each other. My friend was even talking to X back when we were just getting to know each other. What should I do?
