Why is sim so bad in my gm. How do i improve it?

I decided to be the gm for Charlotte and the sim is abysmal. I have lamelo at 91 overall, Brandon miller at 90 overall, kon at 85 ovr and managed to trade and draft VJ after he fell to me at seven and he’s a 87 overall not the mention I drafted a sf from Mexico the next draft who’s a 83 overall.

Everyone except two players in my rotation is at least a 81 overall and fits my system yet this team only manages 37 wins as the best record over four seasons. When I tried the nets i basically only had tre Johnson at 87 overall and we won 45 games.

Does 2k just hate Charlotte or what???
