**Wang Haozhen (Ben Wang) has officially returned to work**! 💕

Leaked footage from yesterday showed him arriving back on the set of his upcoming drama. He was in great spirits and smiling, but he is still significantly impaired, relying on underarm crutches and a wheelchair to safely navigate the filming locations.

For those keeping track of the production delay, he was out of commission for **exactly 57 days**. The cameras originally started rolling on June 10, 2026, but the entire project had to freeze just a couple of days later when he severely twisted his ankle on set. Since he is the central lead, they had to wait for him to be mobile enough to return.

🎬 **The Drama:** ***Bai Luan Zhi Huan*** **(****白裙之欢****)**

**The Plot:** Following a bad car accident, a young man named Jiang Yao (**Yi Hang**) suffers severe memory regression. In his confusion, he mistakes his girlfriend Qin Shiwei (**Zhang Jingyi**) for his *mother*, and his cold, aloof uncle Jiang Ci (**Wang Haozhen**) for his *father*.

**The Setup:** To help the nephew recover, the uncle and the girlfriend enter into a fake contract marriage to play "mom and dad" under one roof.

**The Romance:** Don't worry—**Wang Haozhen is the true hero here!** While playing the fake father role, his character deeply falls for the female lead. When the nephew eventually regains his memory and tries to win his girlfriend back, Wang Haozhen's character fiercely locks down his relationship, successfully winning the girl and leaving the nephew behind.

🎥 **How are they filming around his injury?**

**If you’re like me, you think: hey, what’s he doing on set? It’s not fully healed.**

**There are a few ways to deal with an actor who hasn’t regained full mobility**

**The Waist-Up Framing:** The director is using tight close-ups and chest-high framing to completely hide his crutches, wheelchair, or any ankle supports from the final footage.

**Sitting/Stationary Blocking:** Rewriting specific scenes so his character is standing still, leaning against office desks, or sitting down during heavy dialogue sections.

**Body Doubles for Wide Shots:** Utilizing a body double from behind for wide walking shots, then editing the clips together seamlessly with close-ups of Haozhen's face.

So glad to see our main lead back in action! Wishing him a safe and smooth rest of his recovery. 🤗
