Immediate refund request after receiving old tech, after no attempt at troubleshooting

VENT

Hi!

I recently sold an old PC device, complete in box and barely used. I tested the thing myself and it was working.

It's an old device that doesn't work natively on windows 11 anymore, but is usable through a community built driver that's freely available on Steam, that allows it to work without the old software that Microsoft no longer supports.

It's old, finicky hardware, that only works after a lot of troubleshooting and might not play nice with your GPU, CPU and USB controllers. The reason I was selling it was precisely because it wasn't working properly with my system, but it was working, and might work better on someone else's rig.

So the thing finally arrives at the seller, and WITHIN MINUTES, I receive a refund request. Supposedly the received item doesn't match the advertised one... Excuse me?? Attached were photos of the device plugged into a laptop and supposedly "not turning on". No attempt at troubleshooting was made, just plugged the thing into the laptop and decided it ain't working because it won't turn on automatically. It's old tech that isn't even supported on windows 11, what the hell are you expecting?!

I'm now doing bloody tech support through Vinted chat because I REFUSE to refund this idiot. I don't want to go through the hassle of getting the thing back, I just want my money!

I'm pissed and looking for advice, what would you do? I've never had a refund request in my hundred Vinted sales...
