Moms, what’s your work schedule ? If you don’t have family helping with childcare

NSFWQuestion

This is very rambly. Here’s the TL;DR-
Fellow moms without the best most available grandparents around, What does your schedule look like?

My daughter is about to start school, I just left her dad. I’ve stayed home for the last 5 years and 99.99% sure I’m going back. Dayshift would be ideal but then she’s gonna have to be watched after school. It just seems like so many hours away from me. Im thinking maybe work a few days a week . She can be with her dad Tuesdays so I’ll work a mid shift that day. Every other weekend I think he’ll have her eventually. still unsure. He’s purposely making everything as hard on me as possible) so I can work a couple mid shifts then.. but during the week when I have her.. idk what to do. I have to find a club where the shift ends at like 4pm, pay a sitter to get her from school and watch her for a couple hours I think. What do other moms do? School ends at 3pm. Dayshift is rough … I wish I could just do some midshifts . Before I stopped working I was working 2 days a week with a really good but possessive regular . Idk if he’ll return to me especially if it were dayshift. All my old regulars are available during midshift, what I worked for years , not day. Ideally I’d go with day shift though. I was thinking if I decided to live with a family member I could work the super late night and sleep while she’s at school but I’m 34. I didn’t even wanna stay up and work til 2 am when I was 24 lol . I moved to midshift when I was like 21 or 22 and never looked back after working 9-2am for first however many months to a year .

Ugh I’m sorry this is so rambly. I’m just stressed and really worried about how I’m gonna survive. Sometimes I wonder if I made the right choice leaving my abuser.
