I don't even know how to approach this anymore.

We've (M32 F28) talking about marriage for a while (been together for 2 years, living together for 1 and 5 months) and everything is mostly fine, no big fights and overall a very good relationship.

The thing is: she wants to get married dividing everything in half in case someone dies or a future separation happens, but I bought my house (the one we live in) 2 years before I met her, that said it's mine.

I don't care about dividing everything else we achived together but the house was me, with my money, way before we met. She proceeds to say that doesn't want to get married if the house is not divided.

The only way this translates to me is: she wants to take my house.

Maybe I'm going insane, I don't know.

Nobody gets married thinking about getting divorced, but the future is the future and I need to protect myself in some way.

Her reasoning is that if it happens and we separate she will have nothing, no money, no place to live, no job and I do, my parents have a house I can go back to, my job is family owned so will be mine, I have a place to run to, she doesn't therefore she needs some safety.

I kind of get it, but also prioritize my side of the story.

Dinner is: cooked by me, salmon with lemon risotto. And yes, it was fiiire.
