boop terms of use

Effective: August 12, 2026

These terms apply to the boop Reddit app. By using boop, you also remain subject to Reddit's User Agreement, Content Policy, Developer Platform rules, and each community's rules.

Your content

Only submit or select media you have the right to use. Do not use boop for illegal, infringing, deceptive, harassing, sexual, violent, private, or otherwise prohibited content. Reddit moderators and administrators may remove content or restrict access under Reddit's rules.

How boop works

boop turns eligible photo posts into short playable games. Games may be published as Reddit posts and may add one functional source-thread comment that links to the game. Each game links back to the original Reddit post. Automated behavior is controlled by the installing community's moderators.

Moderator controls

Community moderators choose whether boop uses one top photo daily, posts with a selected flair, every eligible photo, or no automatic posts. They can disable the app or change its settings at any time.

Community requests

The "message the mods" feature opens a prefilled Reddit message draft. You review and send that message yourself. boop never sends Modmail as you. Do not use this feature to spam, mass-message, or repeatedly pressure moderators.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt boop, evade limits, automate abusive requests, extract private data, misrepresent another person, or use the app in a way that violates Reddit's rules.

Availability and changes

boop is provided as available, without a guarantee that every image will work or that the service will be uninterrupted. Features, eligibility rules, and these terms may change as the app develops. Material changes will be posted in r/playboop.
