Abilify not working?

Hi,

I’ve been on abilify for around a month, increasing the dosage in a step-wise fashion from 5mg to 15mg.

I was initially on depakote which worked (it felt like someone had finally turned off the background noise of existential dread in my head) but I switched to abilify over concerns with weight gain and hair loss.

I thought abilify was working, but I am so beyond anxious all the time now. Nothing makes me happy and the existential dread is back and on steroids, to the point it makes me want to rip my own skin off and escape from myself.

Has it not been long enough, or is this medication simply not for me?

I wanted to ask if anyone initially had this experience with abilify and if it got better later on.
