I’ve had some luck lately and scored these two bottles secondhand. They both are perfect to wear already during these last summer weeks!

**Mancera - Tonka Cola**
Tried this last year in store and then got myself a 5 ml decant that I finished soon, I loved every phase of it and it has good longevity. Wasn’t planning on buying a bottle soon since I need to rebuy some more “everyday” scents but honestly this 60 ml bottle was a good occasion.

Top notes: Sicilian lemon, cinnamon, black cherry
Middle notes: cola, Indonesian patchouli leaf, orange blossom
Base notes: Tonka bean, benzoin, labdanum, vanilla

**Venue - Cholon Social**
This is from a new niche brand from Vietnam, I never ever ever blind buy but it’s not available in my country and wanted to try it so bad, I couldn’t believe it when I saw a new, sealed box for sale! The fragrance is inspired by the Chinatown neighbourhood in Ho Chi Min and apparently also Wong Kar-Wai films which in my opinion is a very fitting description! I really love it and it’s perfect for the summer heat, longevity and projection are weak but that’s not necessarily bad for me when picking up a frangrance for summer, will see how I feel about it during colder months. I’m not fond of tobacco but thankfully it’s more a complimentary note and it’s a very delicate tobacco anyway. Would describe this as a boozy tea oriental scent.

Top notes: Nutmeg, Cherry rum, ginger, figolide
Middle notes: red tea accord, incense, blond tobacco leaves
Base notes: benzoin, gaiac wood, ambroxan, musk

Writing down all the notes for this post makes me realise that these two perfumes actually compliment each other nicely. Tonka cola is more intense, bold, sweet and pop, Cholon Social is more intimate and sort of classy and very unisex.

Two new additions to my collection!
