Concealed hinge overlay question
Hi everyone,
This is my first time building a hardwood cabinet. I'm using oak with a thickness of 21.5 mm (roughly 7/8").
I want to use Blum CLIP top BLUMOTION 110° full overlay hinges. However, looking at the technical spec sheet, it states that the maximum overlay (FA) for the hinge side is 18 mm. Since my cabinet side/gables are also 21.5 mm thick, I was hoping to get a full overlay that matches the panel thickness.
I noticed designer Ferréol Babin using what appear to be these hinges (or are they not?) on thicker oak doors/cabinets (looks thicker than 18 mm in this post).
This has left me a bit confused, Is it actually possible to achieve a 21.5 mm overlay with the standard 110° hinges or do I need to use another one?
Thanks in advance
