I haven’t been able to use grip sense because it triggers on/off randomly on my controller making the feature entirely useless for any and all purposes. I had high hopes when first reading out to their support, followed all their suggestions about reporting it as a bug and reading through their article on how to use the feature (learned nothing new but had to follow their instructions because I want my controller to function properly and this is one of the features I bought the controller for).

I’ve been nothing but cooperative with them but they are claiming that the issues I’m having with my grip sense not working are due to my configurations. This is 100% untrue because I’ve tested all their suggestions as well as everything that the community has suggested and grip sense is still not remotely usable for me because it activates/deactivates when it shouldn’t.

At this point I’m kind of pissed of because they are advertising a feature that does not function on my controller, have made no statement to acknowledge that there is a software issue that they are looking into, and are blaming me for incorrectly configurating it when I’ve made it clear that I understand perfectly how the configurations should be set up and how the calibration settings work. I’ve told them I’m happy to provide any diagnostics or record a better video of me using it if they want me to but they’ve just said that they can’t help me.

I really didn’t expect the support to be such a massive pain in the ass to deal with, got the impression they’ll replace controllers for minor stuff but when actual functionality is unusable they’ll try to gaslight you and tell you there is no problem.

Sorry if I’m rambling too much, got really angry after their latest response. I’m in the EU if anyone has suggestions for how to respond to them. I wish this was a user caused issue thatI could fix, I hope if it’s software fixable they release an update, but their communication feels a lot more like “Deal with it🖕” and I just want a replacement at this point.

Valve won’t replace controller with defective grip sense
