Why does Discord keep flagging my messages as spam/NSFW?
I’m genuinely confused about how Discord’s moderation system works. I’m in a few dating/NSFW-related servers, and I’ve noticed that some people openly send or promote NSFW content, including sellers who DM me with explicit content and try to sell it, without seemingly getting any warning.
But when I have a normal private conversation with someone and the conversation gets a little more open-minded or specific, I sometimes get a spam/NSFW warning, and occasionally the message gets deleted or I get a strike.
Even in dating servers, people post their bios without any issue, but if I make mine a bit more specific, it sometimes gets removed or flagged.
Is this based on certain keywords, automated detection, message patterns, account behavior, or something else? Why does it seem like some messages get flagged while very similar content from other users doesn’t?
Would appreciate it if someone could explain how Discord’s system actually decides what to flag.
