What’s New in Modero This Month
Over the last month, I’ve made a bunch of changes to Modero. Here are the ones that actually matter.
Better onboarding
I rebuilt the onboarding to make Modero easier to understand from the start. You now learn quick drink logging, set your usual drinking pattern, get a starting comfort zone, and learn how Tonight plans work before you start using the app. The idea is simple: you should understand how Modero can actually help you drink less, not just how the interface works.
Better Tonight plans
Plans are now a bigger part of Modero. You can decide how many drinks you want before the night starts and see how you’re doing against that number throughout the night. Your previous plans also appear in your stats, so you can compare what you planned with what actually happened.
Much smarter Insights
This is probably the biggest update.
Modero now starts giving you useful insights from your very first day. You don’t have to track for weeks before the app has something useful to tell you. As more data builds up, Insights become more personal. Modero can spot patterns in your drinking, show how things are changing over time, and help you see whether you’re actually drinking less since you started using the app.
I’ve also added workout insights. If you use Apple Health, Modero can look at your workouts alongside your drinking and help you understand how drinking may be affecting your training.
Insights now also have proper unread states, so it’s easy to see when Modero has noticed something new.
Dark Mode
Modero now has a full adaptive Dark Mode across the app. Considering a lot of people use Modero in the evening, this one was long overdue.
Lots of smaller improvements
I also fixed and improved widgets, notifications, weekly summaries, statistics, navigation, and a bunch of smaller things throughout the app.
The goal is still the same: keep Modero simple while making it more useful. Set a plan, track your drinks, understand your patterns, and see whether things are actually changing over time.
