Avakin used to be better in the past than it is now

I used to play this game years ago and I logged into my account recently. First of all why are there crowns, and almost all nice items are basically bought for real money. Secondly, the events are ass, and almost no new items for avacoins are added. Even back when I played after some point the Halloween events (for example) began getting worse with each passing year, but now the situation seems to be even worse.
