Are audience reviews on the EdFringe website to be trusted?

I feel like every time I check out a show, the reviews say the thing is sent from the Gods, but surely most shows are bang average? Is it mostly the friends of the acts gushing to boost sales?

I've only seen a couple of negative reviews on there and they read as a lot more honest and detailed than most. Anyone else find this?
