What if we actually made a little book club?
I’ve been missing something very specific: having people to talk to about books.
Not just sending a friend “YOU NEED TO READ THIS” and receiving a heart reaction three business days later.
So I’m thinking of starting a small online book club, around 15–20 people, with readers from India.
I want it to feel less like a formal book club and more like a little reading circle.
We pick one book each month, read at our own pace, and meet online over a weekend to talk about it.
The books can take us anywhere: a beautiful literary novel, an old classic, a ridiculous romance, a mystery we spend the entire month trying to solve, fantasy, magical realism, memoirs, essays, whatever makes us want to keep turning the page.
The only real requirement is that you like books and like talking about them.
I’d especially love people who enjoy discussing why a book worked or didn’t work, which characters they loved or despised, endings that made no sense, sentences they couldn't stop thinking about, and all the tiny things you notice when you actually sit with a story.
If you want to be part of it, tell me:
What book made you fall in love with reading?
What are you reading right now?
And what kind of books do you always find yourself reaching for?
Maybe we’ll end up with a lovely little group.
Maybe we’ll just enable each other’s reading addictions.
Both outcomes seem acceptable.
