I'm scared and i want to rant for a bit.

Ok so basically, if you're not living under a rock, YouTube has implemented some new changes to its monetisation system, to where you need 1,000 subscribers alongside either 4,000 public watch hours (over the past year) or 10 million Shorts views. THIS IS NOT GOOD. It's a dramatic increase; only big-name creators can even earn money. Meanwhile, mid-sized creators are f*cked over because they can't even receive those much views, let alone consistently.

OHHHH BUT IT TACKLE AI SLOP CHANNEL, WELL ACTUALLY NEIL, AI VIDEOS CAN BE CREATED IN SECONDS AND ARE THUS MASS PRODUCED AND THEY CAN JUST BRUTE FORCE THEIR WAY TO MAKE MONEY ALL BY TYPING SOME DAMN WORDS.!!!!

MEANWHILE, FOR ANIMATION (which is my field), THE AI DETECTION PROGRAM THAT IRONICALLY USES AI, IT HAS FLAGGED SEVERAL ACTUALLY TALENTED ANIMATORS FOR MISLEADING CONTENT, ROBBING THEM OF THEIR INCOME. AND WHEN THEY TRY AND APPEAL IT, UNLESS ITS A BIG BOI CHANNEL LIKE Kurzgesagt, THE POOR ANIMATION IS LEFT IN THE DUST WITHOUT ANY HUMAN TO CHECK UP ON THE VIDEO!!!.

I'm genuinely so scared. I'M NOT EVEN MONETISED YET. I'M A SMALL FRY WITH 10k views or sum but still I care about my growth. I'm mainly posting animations on shorts, which means people like me are going to have it the hardest and MY POSTING SCHEDULE IS COOKED. Animators are spending so much time and getting no money, meanwhile the slop channels are totally unaffected.
