Prosecution for misrepresentation on trains in England

I’m 18 , and since January 2025 I’ve used child tickets within transport for wales trains to get cheaper fairs , the journey in question is around £5 for a child or 10-14 for an adult . I received an email from tfw this morning stating that I’m under investigation from their fraud department , for mentioning that the issue may be taken to court etc what is the likelihood of this going to court ? I admit that this was stupid and I’m no different to any other person , i I was in uni and struggling at the time as well as going through a family crisis which meant I had to constantly travel between A&B , I have emailed them back admitting to the offence and asking for the an out of court settlement . Is it likely that they ignore this and charge me for the criminal offence.

I hadn’t used a transport for wales train until somewhere around June /July of 2025 - the timeline does seem like I’m not making any sense without this context .
