I've encountered a strange (kind of) issue with my cracked version of The Sims 4, using the anadius updater mirror which was kindly taken over by aaros. After updating to the July 21st update version (so not the current latest version of the Sims after the August patch which I don't think it on the updater yet anyway) it started not letting me open my game in the same way that I usually do.

What I mean by that is that I have a shortcut on my desktop to the offline version of the cracked game from my cracked game folder. Since anadius and after it was taken over by aaros I have always used that shortcut and the game just opens immediately straight to the Sims 4 loading screen. However, since I updated for the July update it doesn't seem to work properly anymore. When I use the shortcut it opens the EA app instead and I can't go any further unless I log in first, which I have never encountered before. I did log in a try this way and it works in terms of getting my into the Sims but it's just not the way I ever get into my game.

I tried to use the TS4\_Launcher\_x64 which brings up the pop up about starting online or offline and creating desktop shortcuts for both. I tried the start offline via the launcher but get the error in the picture. Obviously my next try was the repair the game which I did but it still had the same issues after I did so.

Here's where it gets a bit weird and has confused me even more, if I repair the game in the updater and then launch the game from the updater it works as it always did. It brings up the launcher, I choose offline and the game launches straight into the loading screen as it did before. However if I then create desktop shortcuts from the launcher to try and replicate getting into the game from the updater they do not work, they just bring up the same error as before.

I am aware that there is an August update yet to be on the updater so I'm kind of hoping that once that update its applied everything might just fix itself and go back to normal, but in the meantime if anyone has any insight into what the problem could possibly be, or if anyone else is experiencing the same thing please let me know.

Thanks!
