Building a Cybersecurity & AI Security Courses Platform - First Course Launched

Hello everyone,

I'm sharing a cybersecurity training platform I've been working on called Modern Security.

The idea behind it is pretty simple: provide practical security training for people who want to learn by actually building and testing things, rather than only going through theory.

The main course currently available is the AI security certification course. It covers both AI fundamentals and the security side of AI applications.

The course starts with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, agents, and MCP. From there, it moves into security testing and defense, including:

• Prompt injection and indirect prompt injection
• Sensitive information disclosure
• AI agent security
• MCP security
• AI supply chain security
• Model backdoors
• Model signing
• AIBOM
• Threat modeling
• LLM security tools
• Guardrails and defensive techniques

There are also hands-on labs where learners build AI applications, work with RAG and agents, set up MCP servers, test attacks, and implement defensive controls. The course is self-paced and doesn't require previous AI or LLM experience.

Modern Security also has training around secure design and threat modeling in development.

The courses are aimed at security engineers, developers, penetration testers, architects, and other people working with security and AI systems. The instructors have backgrounds in areas such as Product Security, Red Teaming, and Security Research, and have presented research at conferences including Black Hat, DEF CON, and HITB.
