The Prison

The irony when the guard tells the prisoner
"Keep no friends, they don't love u, not the way we do."
"ur love kills me"
What love is this that keeps me caged?
When I committed no crime
What love is this
That has sentenced me for a lifetime
What love is this
That when u have the key,
u still choose not to set me free.
I want to dance in the rain,
feel the cold water go down my face,
because that will still be warmer than ur words.
I want to sing around the fire,
because that will still be softer than ur rage.
U tell me this is no prison,
"It's for ur best, u'll know."
U say I'll thank you for this prison, 
But my heart knows it won't.
