Can you invite family to your PhD completion seminar? Do people here do it?

Just wondering if this is the done thing or whether I should just tell my fam to join on the zoom room to avoid too many distractions. Someone’s husband was at a seminar I went to a few years ago, but I guess that’s different. Probably just asking my parents who are also Melb based, so no travel involved. But not sure if it’s the right time or place to bring them as I don’t know how many other friends / colleagues will be coming.
