I just uninstalled

I genuinely can't believe it. This update has got to be one of the worst updates I've witnessed in any competitive game ever. I understand that it's still closed beta, but still this update is absolutely pathetic.

Yoshi literally confirmed that there were three big updates planned, what the hell was he thinking when deciding to implement the matchmaking one first? Why would he even think about splitting the queues? Why would he not just do a hard reset, instead of congesting Oracle and Eternus players into one rank? I genuinely do not think I have had a balanced and enjoyable ranked game since the update dropped. It literally has made matchmaking WORSE. Yoshi should not even considered adding a separate ranked game mode until the very least open beta is out, so you know, we would have more players to actually handle splitting the player base, or at the VERY least, release the other updates which actually added content to the game.

I still can't believe I went from loving the game to hating it from the result of a single update. I'm legitimately, completely baffled. I would rather play 2024 Deadlock (which by the way, I hated) than the current iteration we have right now, I actually find it that miserable.

This is the worst Deadlock has ever felt to me. I played a good portion back in 2024, uninstalled because the game felt bad, and came back after they released the first patch of heroes (Mina etc.). And since then I loved the game and was so excited to see where it would take us. Sure, I may have not liked every change Valve made to the game, but generally every patch was a step in the right direction.

This patch feels like one step forward, ten steps back. Sure, it's nice actually seeing your rank change, but it feels like I'm just putting sprinkles on shit to make it taste better. The meta sucks and has barely changed for months, the matchmaking is a complete and utter mess, the addition of a half-baked draft system, which by the way is EXPLOITABLE and was not thought about properly at all.

I will come back to this game eventually, but this patch seriously needs to be ironed out or fixed in some manner, or maybe when a content patch drops, the new content will be interesting enough for me to ignore the above problems.

I love this game and I'm still excited to see where it goes, but the misery I feel from the match quality I have been getting completely overshadows any enjoyable I have in the game.
