Can you use injection needles for drawing?

My local needle supplier only has 18 gauge available for drawing needles, but a variety of gauges available for injection needles. I would prefer to use a higher gauge needle for drawing to reduce the chance of coring a vial. Would it be fine to use an injection needle for drawing in this case? I would still swap it out for a different needle to do the actual injection with.
