Strong urge to be isolated. Its beginning to scare me a bit.

Need Support

Not sure if this is just for right now, but I have this intense urge to cut everyone off and isolate myself completely. I really don't know how to explain it.

I've already started to wipe my socials and delete the apps so nobody can contact me. These past few months I've gone through these periods of time where I don't want to talk to anyone, sometimes during these periods I have a strong urge to repair my relationships with the people I've been ignoring. Then after that feeling of motivation wears off, I go back to not speaking to anyone apart from maybe two people. I want to stop talking to these people as well. I enjoy their company but I want to have nobody know who I am for some reason.

No, I don't want to be niche or cool or whatever, that's not the reason for this. I really don't know where this urge is coming from and why I feel like I'm obligated to feed into these impulses that are destroying my social life. It's not a good feeling.

In my mind, I feel like there is this bigger thing I should be focusing on. Like I need to abandon everything that I'm doing right now and who I am as a person. Right now I feel like I have the potential to be something more. I don't even know if this is true or possible?'

Has anyone else felt this way before? I'm scared for myself but also not in a way?
