39 [M4A] Australia Hunter Valley looking to make friends.

Figured I'd give this a shot because apparently making friends as an adult is harder than it should be 😂

I'm married, have two kids and work full-time in the mines doing 12-hour days. I spend a fair chunk of those shifts by myself, which gives me plenty of time to realise I really miss having people to chat with who share the same interests.

A few years ago we moved up to the Hunter Valley so my wife could be closer to her family. It was the right decision, but I've definitely been missing my own mates since the move.

Life's also been a bit heavy lately. My wife has been struggling with depression, and while I'm doing everything I can to support her, I'd really love to have someone to talk to where every conversation isn't about doom and gloom. Sometimes it's just nice to chat, laugh, and switch off for a while.

I'm into RPG video games, especially anything with a great story, and I love rock climbing whenever I get the chance. I'm always happy to talk games, climbing, movies, random life stuff, or whatever rabbit hole the conversation ends up going down.

I'm not looking for anything romantic or to complicate my marriage—just genuine friendship with someone who's easy to talk to and enjoys similar hobbies.
