Will FAFSA Cover my Tuition?

Help!

I am doing this on my own for the first time, so I am really confused. Any and all advice will truly help me and thinking about this has been pretty frustrating.
I’ve only ever been to one other college and that was covered for fully and I’d received a refund. I did not get a degree and one gen ed class is being transferred to WGU.

I start my term in Oct, and I have been seeing that others are getting refunds while another has to take out a loan. Being a full time student, I don’t want to take out a loan but am unsure whether or not fafsa will cover the entirety of my tuition and fees. I am reading that my grant eligibility is in the lower $7,000. My SAI is -1386.

It is hard to work things out on the enrollment portal, because I had to have my commit to start reset so everything is kind of glitched right now. However before that, I was being prompted to agree to loans or something like that. I heard Sophia could knock out more general education courses so I had started that and almost complete with 2 classes as of now. I had felt confident to continue and hope transferring 31 credits would bring the price down-but I am also now seeing others say that if you have FAFSA it’s better to just do all the classes at WGU as it’s beneficial. While I am not sure why that is please let me know if that’s true.

I don’t know if this affects anything but I intend to finish my classes in a year, by April 2027 at the latest. School is all I will be doing so I am confident I can do so.

Am I more likely to receive a refund or have to take out a loan? lowk stressed ggs
