In need of an older and wiser friend.

I’ve been going through a really hard time the last few years with my spouse becoming permanently disabled and having to become a full time carer. And now my partner has an infamous meeting in her calendar with HR after the company warned that lay offs are coming.

So we are about to navigate both of us being unemployed and her also having a mobility related disability.

And I’m scared. I don’t feel like an adult right now.

I just feel like I’m being constantly hit by waves as soon as I try to get back up again and could use someone to talk to who’s lived a bit more than me who would be open to listening and maybe giving advice.

Just a bit about me - I love horror movies, painting and sketching, gardening, and being outdoors. I’m Scottish but have moved around a lot. I have a Bernese Mountain dog and two cats.
